I graduated from the University of Leeds following completion of my PGCE in Secondary English. I joined Outwood Academy City in 2014 as a Teacher of English and Third in Department. In 2016, I completed my MA in English at the Open University, achieving a distinction grade.

I have experience in working to promote the Accelerated Reader scheme, to support reading within the school.

In 2016, I was appointed to the role of Associate Assistant Principal, within the Deep Learning structure. My current responsibilities include the organisation of teaching and learning and continuing to re-enforce the positive outcomes of reading to support students in building upon key literacy skills. I am responsible for ensuring that all students are motivated to love literature and become passionate about reading.
