New Y7 Uniform FAQ's

Please see below some standard questions and answers from Trutex regarding Uniform orders for new Y7's joining us in September.

  • The order link/QR code seem to only allow the order to be completed once per IP address.  If a family has more than one child of the same gender that require a uniform bundle they should try completing the 2nd form on a different device. If they don’t have a different device but know the sizes required Trutex can manually enter the order.  Please provide details to me, dkidd@trutex.com if required.
 
  • There is no email confirmation of the bundle order placedHowever, there are 2x confirmation screens.
 
  • 1st confirmation screen. Once the order is completed the screen will look like the 1st picture below, the parent/carer will have to click the DONE button to move onto the next confirmation screen.
 
  • 2nd confirmation screen. The next screen is the Trutex confirmation page, the 2nd picture below shows a screenshot of what this page looks like.  The link to this page is https://www.trutex.com/outwood-collections-and-exchanges.   This page thanks the parent/carer for completing the Outwood uniform bundle order form and gives a schedule of all 27x Outwood Academy Bundle Events for 2024.  The parent/carer MUST click on their academy name to see their dates and timeslots for their collection and exchange events. The first academy alphabetically within the trust is Acklam and is the event dates and times shown in the first instance.  To change this, the parent/carer MUST click on their academy name!
 
  • Ties are automatically added to each uniform bundle (there is no selection on the order form for this item).
 
  • If a parent/carer feel they have selected the wrong size on the completed order form, they can email outwoodbundles@trutex.com to request an amend to the size ordered.  This can only be requested up until 12th May, after this date the items can be swapped at their academies exchange event.
 
  • Collection is from the academy the student is joining. Trutex will not post these uniform bundles to home addresses.  If a family cannot attend the collection event themselves, we ask if they have a friend or relative that can collect on their behalf.  If they can’t attend and have no family or friends to do so, they can collect on the exchange event.  If they can’t attend either event it will be down to the academy to arrange alternative provision for the family as all un-collected bundles stay at the academies.
 
  • Exchange events are also held at the academy the student is joining.  Trutex staff will be on hand to offer advise on size of the uniform items and swap items where required.
 
  • Parents/carers/students should attend the event timeslot for the first letter of their surname.  The timeslots are essential to the smooth running of each event, to ensure we have a steady flow, and nobody should have to wait too long.  If a family can’t attend their timeslot, they can attend another but please advise that they may have to wait as most timeslots are fully booked per surname joining.
